Fundamentals in Photography - Youth
AGES: 12 to 18 years old
Throughout this class, students will dive into the world of photography, gain a solid understanding of camera functions, and practice the art of composition and lighting. Students will engage in hands-on activities, students will receive daily feedback and personalized guidance from our passionate instructors. This class is intended to be a fun and educational and to help teens build confidence throughout the week!
We will venture to Land’s End, Golden Gate Park, the UC Berkeley Botanical Gardens and the Ferry Building!
Class Highlights:
Introduction to camera functions, settings, and composition
Exploring the use of light in photography
Understanding portrait photography and lighting techniques
Capturing landscapes and nature through depth of field
Gallery show preparation and showcase of their photography work to friends and family
Drop off/Pick Up (East Bay)
Monday - Perspectives Photo School
Tuesday - Ashby BART Station (Field Trip to the Ferry Building)
Wednesday - The Gardens at Lake Merritt
Thursday - Ashby BART Station (Field Trip to Land's End + Sutro Baths)
Friday - Perspectives Photo School (Photography Show for Family + Friends)
